Andrew was assaulted by Jessica Hughes, Rathwire, Killucan, Co Westmeath, and Patrick Daly, Mulphedder, Clonard, Co Meath on December 23rd, 2011 at Pearse St., Mullingar. He died on January 1, 2012.
Last Monday, Daly was sentenced to 240 hours of community service in lieu of two years in prison. Hughes was sentenced to 160 hours in lieu of five months in prison.
The Dolan family said, “We are unhappy with the manner in which the prosecutions were conducted and we feel the system has failed Andrew, ourselves and everyone who walks the streets at night.”
