At the same meeting, Cllr Irene Guckian-Rabbitte asked that traffic calming measures, such as speed ramps, to ease the speed of cars entering and exiting the Breffni Crescent estate, Carrick-on-Shannon, and going to or from the Breffni Family Resource Centre.
The response said that there the Roads Department had a meeting with Breffni Crescent community last month. It continued that Breffni Crescent Estate is within a 30kph speed limit and there is "signage to indicate this within the estate. The gateway signage also includes an image to identify that children are at play. The District Office currently do not have resources to install ramps in housing estates."
