RIP: 'Lovely man, may be rest in peace', sincere tributes to Leitrim man

Sean O'Hara, Ballinaglera and Dowra, Leitrim who passed away on December 9 2025, peacefully after a long illness bravely borne surrounded by his loving sisters Sligo Hospital

Tributes are being paid to Sean O'Hara, Ballinaglera and Dowra, Leitrim who passed away on December 9 2025, peacefully after a long illness bravely borne surrounded by his loving sisters in the wonderful care of Sligo General Hospital.

He is predeceased by his parents Francis and Mary Kate O'Hara

Sean is sadly missed and remembered with love by his sisters Kathleen McDermott, Knockvicar, Boyle (Noel McDermott) and Marion Carney, Elphin (Noel Carney) and nephews David, Marc, and Kevin McDermott (Tracy), Leona McLoughlin (Niall), Jason Carney (Leone), Kelly-Ann Cregg (Frankie) and his grandnieces and grandnephews.

One message of condolence said: "I had the pleasure of working with Sean in St Pats; fond memories. May his gentle soul rest in peace." 

Another message stated simply: "Great memories of Sean down through the years."
