The Dock, Carrick-on-Shannon
Exciting new plans for the plaza outside The Dock, Carrick-on-Shannon have been submitted with Leitrim County Council hoping to remodel the area at St George's Terrace to provide a place of use for the public.
The proposed works would include the removal of the existing hard-standing plaza area to the front and side of the Dock and its replacement with a remodelled hard and soft landscaped space to include lighting, street furniture, signage, repair of existing limestone stone steps and any ancillary accommodation works.
This development involves works within the curtilage of The Dock which is a Protected Structure and is located in the Carrick-on-Shannon Architectural Conservation Area. The proposed development will not materially affect the character of the Dock or of the area concerned.
