Proposal made to Council for 17-home development in South Leitrim

Outline planning permission has been submitted to Leitrim County Council for the construction of 17 new two-storey dwelling houses as part of a proposed residential development in South Leitrim.

The proposed development at Dromod More, Dromod would comprise a mix of housing types, including three semi-detached blocks of three-bedroom units, two semi-detached blocks of four-bedroom units, one terraced block containing two three-bedroom units and one two-bedroom unit, and a second terraced block containing two three-bedroom units and two two-bedroom units.

The proposal lodged by DC Field Developments Ltd also includes the provision of a new access onto the public road, together with a revised access to the existing dwelling house. Connections to services and all associated site development works are included as part of the application.

The application is currently at the outline planning permission stage, which allows the developer to establish whether the local authority agrees in principle with the proposed housing development or extension. Full planning permission will still be required following the outline stage.
