A Leitrim girl has raised hundreds of euros for Leitrim Animal Welfare after selling homemade St Brigid’s Crosses.

Leitrim Animal Welfare shared a post on Facebook highlighting the fantastic effort by Saoirse, who spent her Saturday selling the crosses at McGoldrick’s Centra.

Saoirse raised a total of €416 for Leitrim Animal Welfare, with the funds going towards supporting the animals currently in their care.

In a post on Facebook, Leitrim Animal Welfare said, “Today, Saoirse visited us with her mum, Claire, to present her fundraising total and enjoy a tour of our facilities, where she got to see first hand exactly how her generosity will make a real difference. It was such a pleasure to show her where her hard earned funds will go.
