Sligo-Leitrim Garda arrest motorist going 90km over speed limit

Sligo-Leitrim Gardaí have arrested a driver going 90km over the speed limit while conducting a speed check on Tuesday.

The arrest was made on a national road where the vehicle was detected travelling 190km in a 100km zone on the N4 outside of Ballymote.

The driver of the vehicle, a red Jaguar XE, was subsequently arrested and charged with Dangerous Driving, according to a post on the Sligo-Leitrim Gardaí Facebook page.

“Speed kills, it's just not worth it!” it added.
