Leitrim community remembers‘ One sound man,’ following passing 

The death has occurred of William Joseph (Liam) Higgins of Birmingham, England, formerly of Eslin, Co. Leitrim .

Liam passed away peacefully late last week at QE hospital in Birmingham, England, on the 28th of February.

He is survived by his loving wife Ann, daughters Sharon and AnnMarie, son-in-law Rob, grandchildren John, Eddie, Luke, Laura and Joe, his sisters Teresa and Josephine (New York), nieces and nephews, along with his extended family, relatives and friends.

Condolences and sympathies have flooded in for Liam, who is described as “one sound man.”

Another message remembered Liam as “a great friend & help.”

He is predeceased by his parents, Eddie and Rose Higgins of Main Street, Ballinamore and his brothers Eamon and Jim.

A funeral mass will be held for Liam at St.Mary’s Church, Vivian Road, Harborne B17 0DN on Wednesday, the 1st of April at 11.30 am followed by cremation at Lodge Hill Crematorium, Weoley Park Road, Weoley Castle. B29 5AA at 1.00 pm.

Liam’s requiem Mass will be streamed live for those who cannot attend.
