Leitrim County Council to have no further involvement with  Dromahair estate

Leitrim County Council said they are to have no further involvement with Castle Court estate in Dromahair.

Cllr Padraig Fallon asked the council if an assessment of safety measures at the entrance to Castle Court Estate Dromahair was undertaken.

The council informed him "Castle Court Estate does not contain a road of general utility and will not therefore be take in charge." 

The council went on to explain they released the bond and planning permission was granted to retain site developments works but certain residents prevented the appointed contractor from undertaking works.

The Planning Authority was satisfied therefore that the development had been carried out to a satisfactory standard to allow the development bond to be released.

They concluded saying, "As the development is now, and will not, be take in charge by the Council, no further involvement by the Planning Authority will take place."
