Waterways Ireland
Waterways Ireland has confirmed the temporary closure of a section of the River Erne near Belturbet, Co Cavan to boating traffic.
The closure is to facilitate tree trimming and hedge cutting operations at Foalies Cut. The proposed works means this short section of the navigation will be closed up to and including Friday, October 12.
The navigation shall re-open again for the weekends only during this period to facilitate our customers. The cooperation of Masters is requested at this time and any inconvenience is regretted.
