Parents of students studying the Bachelor of Business (Recreation and Leisure) at IT Sligo, visited the Institute recently to mark their competition of the Walking Exercise Programme, which is conducted as part of the first year of the course.
One of those participating was Sue Watters, from Manorhamilton, Co Leitrim who was coached by her son, Sean.
The fitness levels of parents and other participants were put to the test during the 12-week programme, which included coaching in walking habits and techniques. The award ceremony included a lap of the 400 meter track followed by the presentation of certificates by lecturer, Kerry Larkin.
While studying the Bachelor of Business (Recreation and Leisure) students can attain a range of valuable national and international coaching qualifications.
