Prefab Classrooms to be re-placed in Manorhamilton

Deputy Tony Mc Loughlin has warmly welcomed the announcement by the Minister for Education and Skills, Ruairi Quinn TD of funding to replace the current prefab accommodation for students at St Clare’s Primary School. Manorhamilton.

Deputy Tony Mc Loughlin has warmly welcomed the announcement by the Minister for Education and Skills, Ruairi Quinn TD of funding to replace the current prefab accommodation for students at St Clare’s Primary School. Manorhamilton.

The prefabs will be replaced by a 2 room extension comprising of 1 mainstream classroom and I learning support room.

It is expected that work will be completed this year.

Deputy Mc Loughlin concluded by stating that over 141 schools across Ireland have been issued with approval to proceed to replace prefabs with permanent buildings including recently St Patrick’s Central School Drumshanbo with another 47 schools up for future consideration.
