This Friday September 28, the writers, film makers and Leitrim County Council are holding a public consultation in Manorhamilton Library at 6.30pm.

Supported by Leitrim County Library, the filmmaker Kevin McCann and author Gerard Mac Atasney are currently writing a film story based on Seán Mac Diarmada and his involvement in the 1916 Rising.

They are holding this public consultation event about this project and invite members of the public to attend. Admission is free.

During the event, the writers will first present the story that they are developing. Then most of the event will focus on feedback from the public.

The filmmakers wish to consider all aspects about the life of this important figure in the history of Leitrim and Ireland.

It is expected that there are members of the public with a great interest in the telling of this story - many of whom have important points of view and interesting stories for inclusion.

Anyone interested is asked to attend.
