Leitrim football star Danny Beck is throwing a special ‘GAA All-Stars’ fun and fitness party to celebrate the launch of his new business and he’s hoping your school wants to be part of it.

Combining his love of sport and fitness with his experience in coaching young athletes, Danny has just taken out a franchise with the innovative and exciting Irish company ‘Fitkids’.

Fitkids provides specialised fun educational fitness class programmes for children from the age of 2 years up to 12 in schools, clubs etc. as well as offering multi-sport camps and active-themed parties.

While fun is a key aim, Fitkids is the only kids’ exercise programme that develops all six fundamentals of fitness. Using state-of-the-art equipment, qualified Fitkids instructors provide a safe platform for children to learn movement and gymnastic skills, enjoy tumbling and agility obstacle courses, and experience multi-sports skills and fun active games.

The Fitkids Gymnastic & Movement skills programme – which teaches all that’s required and more of the PE gymnastic strand of the curriculum – is now being taught in many schools throughout the country.

And now your school can be the first in Leitrim to enjoy the experience. To celebrate the launch of his new business Danny is throwing a free ‘GAA All Stars party’ for the Second Class pupils in your school on Friday, October 19, if you are the lucky winners selected to host it.

All Leitrim Primary Schools are invited to apply, and all you have to do is to get your Second class pupils to compose an email (100 words or less) explaining why they should host and participate in the party. Send one email per school to leitrimpartyentries@fitkids.ie and the best entry will be selected to win the prize. Danny and his Fitkids team will do everything else.

The Fitkids entertainers / Instructors will bring all the equipment and props to guarantee the delivery of a fun and healthy 45 minute active ‘GAA All Star party’ in the environs of your school to up to 30 kids.

The school just needs a suitable space outdoors with an indoor option available should the weather be any way inclement. And kids, don’t forget to have your gear and runners at the ready for the GAA All-Star theme.

“I’ve wanted to move my career into the area of health and fitness for some time,” explains Danny. “Sport and especially the GAA has been a huge part of my life and I have first-hand experience of being exposed to that sort of healthy ethos from an early age.

“I was one of the ambassadors for the GAA’s Cúl Camps here in Leitrim last year and that really gave me the confidence and boost to take the leap. Fitkids is the perfect fit for me as a county footballer and I was delighted to get the franchise for Leitrim.”

Danny has received assistance from the Leitrim County Enterprise Board and Leitrim Partnership in this venture.

In addition to school events, Danny’s Fitkids offers fun after-school multi-sports classes for children, private parties in the home, and specialised fun fitness camps.

Fitkids themed parties include army, super-heroes, GAA all-star, Soccer-stars, and more. For more details visit: http://www.fitkids.ie/index.asp
