The Leitrim Residents Associations Network have launched their brand new website which is dedicated to all council housing estates in County Leitrim.
The purpose of the website is to assist each estate with a range of issues including developing and supporting residents associations, lobbying for funding for enhancement of local authority estates and promoting community spirit.
The website, www.leitrimresidentsnetwork.ie is funded by the Leitrim Development Company and is designed by local website developer Drumcoora Design.
The site was launched at a special meeting of the network members which took place at The Lough Allen Hotel, Drumshanbo on Thursday, March 26 last.
Chairperson Moira McManus spoke enthusiastically about the support the Residents Network Association has received from across the county over the years.
Ms McManus praised the great work done by the men on the CE Schemes who ensure that the estate grounds are well tended.
A big thank you was also extended to Jimmy MacNamara, Manager of the CE Scheme for his efforts to support the needs of each housing estate.
The group acknowledged the hard work of Beirne O’Donahue over the many years.
The next meeting of the association will be held on Thursday April 26 at 7:30pm at Hyde Terrence House,Mohill.
The association have encouraged all 19 Housing Estates in Leitrim to become active by attending the monthly meetings and contributing with photos and events listings and news of interest from their estate to the website.
