Boyle actor Chris O’Dowd’s has seen the accumulated profits of his UK production firm for 2012 jump seven-fold to £76,705 (€89,947).
The figures reveal funds retained at Hot Cod Productions, one of two companies behind Moone Boy jumped from £4,627 to £78,896 in the year ending October 31st last year. The success of Hot Cod Productions coincided with the release of the hilarious series Moone Boy and O’Dowd’s growing Hollywood fame.
Separate accounts filed by the Irish-based production Moone Boy Ltd, show that it recorded a loss of €675,225 in the 12 months to the end of December 31st last due to upfront costs of producing Moone Boy. O’Dowd is currently filming the third series of Moone Boy with a host of well known names including Carrigallen actor David Rawle.
