Rents stay static here but increase in Dublin

In Leitrim, rents are largely stable, rising 0.6% in the 12 months to June 2013. The average advertised rent is now €401, a fall of 25% from the 2007 peak.

But local students looking to rent accommodation near Dublin colleges face a 7% increase in prices from a year ago, according to the quarterly Daft.ie Rental Report.

Rental prices outside of Dublin have risen by 1% over the same period. Nationwide, the average rent is now €825, compared to €792 a year previously.
