The long awaited Local Electoral Area Boundary Committee Report will be published this Thursday afternoon ending months of speculation about the reconfiguration of the local Government boundaries.

It is expected that Co Leitrim would be split into three six seaters but speculation still surrounds whether Mohill will remain in the Carrick-on-Shannon Area or if Drumshanbo town will be moved in with the County Town.

If Mohill is taken out of Carrick-on-Shannon, the general train of thought is that it will be moved into the Ballinamore Area.
