The Bush Hotel in Carrick-on-Shannon will be the venue for a wonderful night of music with all proceeds going to help with the creation of a national commemorative garden to organ donors.
This benefit concert will be held on Friday, May 31st and will feature two of Ireland’s best loved music groups, De Dannan with Eleanor Shanley, and Sean Keane and his band.
The concert is being organized and presented by the Bush Hotel in conjunction with Strange Boat Donor Foundation and will help raise much needed awareness of the importance of organ donation.
Joe and Rosie Dolan, proprietors of the Bush Hotel and Denis and Martina Goggin, founders of the charity, Strange Boat Donor Foundation, understand in a very personal way the importance of organ donation. Both families lost their sons, Andrew and Éamonn in tragic circumstances, and drew immense comfort from knowing that the legacy of their last act gave hope and the possibility of new life to others through donation.
The importance and relevance of this life giving cause will be highlighted when Meadhbh McGivern from Ballinamore reads her very personal and inspirational poem during the concert.
MC for the evening will be Tommy Moran and there will be raffles and numerous fantastic prizes, hotel breaks and surprises!
Tickets cost €15 and are available from the Bush Hotel or from www.strangeboat.org
Doors will open at 8pm.
