The latest culinary offerings to find their way on to the menu at Lough Rynn Castle’s two AA Rosette Sandstone Restaurant have tantalised the taste buds of undercover inspectors from the Yes Chef Awards who have also placed it on the shortlist for not one, but three hotly contested awards: Best Chef, Best Hotel Restaurant, Best Fine Dining Restaurant and Best Front of House.
Lough Rynn Castle, which is a member of the prestigious Manor House Hotels portfolio and the Hanly Castle Hotel Group, has long enjoyed a reputation for the quality of its food, much of which head chef Clare O’Leary creates from vegetables, herbs and fruit from the castle’s own walled garden.
Lough Rynn Castle general manager Ciaran Reidy said that he was delighted with the news, particularly as it has come hot on the heels of the hotel winning three separate Best Castle Wedding Venue awards over the last six months.
“I would like to offer my warmest congratulations to Clare O’Leary and her team,” he said.
“Our commitment to showcasing local produce, including that grown on the estate, has resulted in a menu that combines flavours and textures in a way that has enabled us to reach new culinary heights.
“We have had extremely positive feedback from guests and I am really pleased to hear that the inspectors were equally impressed.”
Lough Rynn Castle is not the only member of the prestigious Manor House Hotels portfolio to make it to the shortlist.
The Manor House Country Hotel in Co. Fermanagh has also been shortlisted for the Best Chef, Best Hotel Restaurant, Best Fine Fining Restaurant and Best Front of House Awards.
The winners of the Yes Chef Awards will be announced on Tuesday 20th October 2015.
