The Government has accepted BAM Contractors’ tender for the construction of Ballinamore’s new secondary school.
Local councillor, Caillian Ellis told the Leitrim Observer today (Thursday, October 6), that he was delighted the tender had been accepted.
“The project will now move to the next stage which is seeking full planning permission, a process which will take around eight weeks to finalise,” he explained adding that he did not foresee any major difficulties with this stage.
“I welcome the fact that the present Government is standing by the promises made by the previous government. We are one more step closer to the new school.”
