There has been widespread condemnation of a suspected arson attack on Quinn Tarmac, Derrylin, Co Fermanagh over the weekend.
The PSNI and Gardai have launched a joint investigation into whether this most recent attack on the Quinn Group is connected to a series of vandalism incidents at the group site on the Cavan/Fermanagh border over the past number of months.
Four fire fighters responded to a 12.30am call Sunday morning, July 24 at the Tarmac plant in which two vans, one eight-wheel lorry, a loading shovel vehicle, Tarmac spreader and small roller were set ablaze.
Fire services from Ballyconnell, Lisnaskea and Enniskillen responded.
The vehicles were parked outside the office buildings and it’s understood the blaze did come near the premises at one stage, but it was brought under control before it could do any damage.
The scene was technically examined on Sunday, July 24.
