ASI Family Carer Training Coordinator Christine Carr said: “Carers often must navigate the consequences of a dementia diagnosis in their families with little or no practical information to support them. This training aims to help carers understand the condition and increase their confidence in the ability to care. We are pleased to see our Face-to-Face Family Carer training resume in Sligo and welcome family carers of people living with dementia to sign up for the course.”
A previous participant of Face-to-Face Family Carer Training said: “The tutor was very knowledgeable and engaging and gave very practical examples from her vast experience. The course was excellent; I was very satisfied with the content and delivery of the course.”
