GAA club in Leitrim seek approval for clubhouse and grounds upgrades
Planning permission is being sought for extensive works at Aughavas GAA grounds.
Aughavas GAA Club has lodged a planning application seeking permission for a series of improvement works at its grounds in Corraneary, Aughavas.
The application was lodged on July 9.
It seeks full planning permission to construct a new retaining wall structure to the south of the site, install new solar panels on the roof of the existing dressing rooms and clubhouse, and construct a new pedestrian pathway around the perimeter of the grounds.
The plans further include the erection of new street lighting to serve the pedestrian pathway, the construction of new spectator fencing around the perimeter of the existing GAA pitch, the removal of an existing block wall and gate to the north of the site, and the replacement of external doors on the existing dressing rooms.
The application also provides for the re-plastering of the external walls of the dressing rooms, the construction of a new scoreboard, and all ancillary works.
