The development of five number apartments is due take place at Main Street, Manorhamilton
Permission has been granted by Leitrim County Council for the conversion of three domestic floor areas into five number short term self-catering tourism apartments and all ancillary works.
Darragh Heraghty applied for planning permission June 19 of this year for the conversion at Main Street, Manorhamilton and his application was granted October 1.
The permission for the works was given under the condition that the accommodation units solely be used as short term holiday accommodation not exceeding eight week individual lettings.
The units may also not be used by an person as a sole or main place of residence and the owner of the development is required to keep a record of all names and addresses of occupiers of the unit.
This record must also be shown to the Planning Authority upon request in order to regulate the use of the units in the interest of orderly development and residential amenity in the area.
Other conditions set out for the development include that no sign, symbol, advertisement or board can be erected outside of what was already set out and agreed upon in the planning application.
These conditions also apply to nameplates, security shutters and "or other projecting elements" such as flagpoles without the prior written agreement of the Planning Authority
Details of lettering in terms of size and type of the proposed signage which is to be mounted at the premises must also be submitted to the Planning Authority and a written agreement obtained prior to the commencement of the development.
