Eslin GAA Healthy Club hosted their second annual Darkness into Light walk on Saturday morning last, May 6.
It was a beautiful dry morning in Eslin and the local community turned out in large numbers for this very worthwhile cause. The club was delighted with the funds raised and thanks to all for their generosity. Raising awareness is just as important and it was lovely to see so many younger people getting involved.
Following the walk the Healthy Club members put on a lovely breakfast for everybody in the clubhouse.
A spokesperson stated “Without our volunteers it would be impossible to host such events and hopefully we can keep it going for the years ahead.
“Thanks to the Eslin Community Centre committee for all their help and for the use of their equipment.
“Thanks again to those who helped set up the clubhouse inside and outside and all who supplied food and served to the community.”
