A number of car parts were taken from Central Motors in Mohill during the course of the burglary.
Garda John Morgan from the Leitrim Community Policing Unit, speaking on Shannonside radio, said the garage was "targeted at about 6.25am that morning and a male in a small white van was seen in the vicinity of the garage for approximately ten minutes. He entered the premises and preceded to remove a quantity of car parts that were mainly suitable for Opel cars with one of the items a headlight for an Opel".
Garda Morgan noted that the items were "distinctive and would have a very limited market."
