A long-time friend of Milly's said: "Maura Ann John and the extended Mc Nally /McGuinness family; it is with great sadness I got the news of Milly's death. I am very lucky to have been a friend of Milly for over 50 years. Many a cup of tea and sandwich I enjoyed in The Breffni Inn and if Milly had time we would have a chat. RIP. Jack was ever patient with my visits. What a lovely sincere couple and their high achieving family are a credit to them May they now rest in peace and enjoy their eternal reward Freda.
A former pupil said: "Saddened to hear that my former and favourite national school teacher has died! I loved going to school and being taught by Mrs. McNally, and she used to get me to go around the other classes with the roll book, it was a great privilege! Mrs. McNally was such a formidable teacher back in the late 80s and early 90s! Her classes used to run like clockwork and there was no slacking in her classroom! All the students in St. Michael’s BNS had the highest of respect for Mrs. McNally. She left a lasting legacy around Mohill and no doubt she has earned her stripes in heaven!"
Milly was loving mother of Maura, Anne (Garbett) and John and grandmother to Niall and Conor. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing family, daughters-in-law, Catherine and Rebecca, brother and sister-in-law Stephen and Colette McGuinness, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
May she rest in peace
