Thousands of adaptor chargers sold online in Ireland present a risk of electric shock, according to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC).
A safety issue has been identified with a number of adaptors following products sold on the Amazon platform.
All products listed below present the risk of electric shock. There is inadequate creepage and clearance causing live parts to become accessible leading to the risk of electrocution if touched.
Anyone who purchased one of these products, is advised to please discontinue use immediately, discard the product and keep it out of the reach of children.
The CCPC says people may wish to contact Amazon to see if there are any remedies available to the customer.
