Logan - Derry Nose

Logan is just the best wee pup, and we felt it only right that he have a dedicated poem as to why he should be the Nose of Tralee 2023.

In old County Derry on Christmas Eve night,

arrived a cockapoo puppy, a golden delight.

A new home in Ballykelly, a couple did live, Kerri and Dave, had more love to give.

When we heard of these pups we just had to see, and on the first meeting on our hand you did pee.

But it was love at first sight, sure nothing else matters, even if the new sofa would end up in tatters!

So we thought and we pondered, you needed a name, and after days of debate Logan you became.

Puppy pads and toys, we were sure we were ready, but cushions you destroyed, and even beheaded a teddy.

But we are so happy to have you,

in our home to live, so we could witness the pleasure a butt scratch would give.

You steal all the socks and dig the garden for treasure, the holes now are so deep they're too hard to measure.

The floors are all muck it's an unsightly mess, but we love you regardless, your cheeky smile is the best.

Our home is chaos, but there's no other way, you are part of our family, our home and heart you shall stay

You love cuddles and chase, and sniff out any treat, giving puppy dog eyes while you nibble our feet.

Favourite things to eat are carrots, apples and cheese. Did you say walkies? Lets go to the beach -pleaaaase?

A pet competition? We just had to enter, The Nose of Tralee? He'd be there front and centre!

He's through to the final it's all very scary,

But not for our Logan as he's reppin' for Derry.

So go flash your smile and bring home that crown, know that Derry's behind you, we won't let you down

A champion of paws, do you need a slogan?

Why bother, it's simple, go and VOTE LOGAN!
