'Congratulations to Mammy' - Firefighters praised as they step in to deliver baby boy

Dublin Fire Brigade helped deliver the newborn before ambulance brought mother and infant to hospital

'Congratulations to Mammy' - Firefighters praised as they step in to deliver baby boy

Firefighter/Paramedic Intern Lauren Kelly, along with her colleagues from Tallaght Fire Station assisted in the delivery of a baby boy yesterday evening.

In post on social media, Dublin Fire Brigade (DFB) shared the news that firefighters had assisted a woman who had gone into labour before Tallaght ambulance transported her and her baby to hospital.

Social media users flooded the Facebook update with well wishes for the mother and baby as well as praise for DFB on the work they do.

One user commented: "Congratulations you will give the Rutunda a run for their money. Well done where would we be without you all. "

Another said: "Well done DFB Congratulations to Mammy"
