Gardaí are investigating an assault which occurred on Wexford St, Dublin 2 during the early hours of Saturday morning, December 21.
A man (early 20s) is currently receiving treatment for serious injuries at Beaumont Hospital.
The scene of the incident has been examined by local Scenes of Crime.

No arrests have been made at this time.
