Two men have been arrested by gardai investigating the death of another man in Bray, Co Wicklow, on Sunday.
The arrested men, aged in their 20s and 40s, were taken into custody under the Criminal Justice (Public Order) Act 1994 on Monday.
They were detained at a garda station in Co Wicklow.
A post-mortem examination on the deceased man, 36-year-old William Moorhouse, was scheduled for Tuesday with State Pathologist Dr Sally Anne Collis in Whitehall, Dublin.
The results of the examination will assist gardai with their investigation.
An examination of the scene by the Garda Technical Bureau has completed.
Gardai said the probe is ongoing and that “further updates will follow”.
A spokesperson said: “Gardai are appealing for witnesses to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to contact the incident room at Bray Garda Station on 01-6665300 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.”
