On Friday's Late Late Show (February 21), Q102 presenter Kathryn Thomas got candid with host Patrick Kielty on the weight struggles and insecurities she faced as a child, ahead of her new documentary.
Ms Thomas, who previously presented weight-loss show Operation Transformation, has always been passionate about helping people look and feel their best, with her newest project reflecting this.
Reminiscing on her childhood, the broadcaster got personal when revealing she endured name-calling and shaming due to her weight.
Telling Patrick about this, she said, "I was quite overweight as a kid. I remember the name-calling, the stigma, the shame, I talk about it quite openly in the documentary."
Showing insight into this, Kathryn continued, "I was very young. We were in the classroom, the teacher lined all the children up around the wall to help us learn our Irish. He pointed (to the children and said), 'that boy is the fastest in the class, that boy is the cleverest boy in the class' and 'Tá Kathryn an cailín is ramhar sa sheomra.'" This translates to 'Kathryn is the fattest girl in the room.'

"I was lucky that I found sport and in my teenage years I lost weight, but I know other children who were in that classroom, under that teacher and that had a life-long impact," she concluded.
The presenter's new two-part documentary, 'The Skinny Jab Revolution' focuses on the root cause of obesity, and the fast rise of weight loss drugs now available on the Irish market.
The mother-of-two went on to criticise both the lack of understanding and regulation surrounding these weight-loss drugs, as she revealed how easy it was to access these medications by providing false information through an online service in Ireland.
Kathryn stated, "It is dangerous in the wrong hands and when its prescribed by the wrong people."
'The Skinny Jab Revolution' was produced and presented by Kathryn, and her own production house, Aquarius Productions.
The release date has not yet been revealed.
