A man has been charged in connection with an incident that occurred in Wicklow yesterday.

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said: "The man, aged in his 50s, who was arrested in relation to this incident has been charged.

"He is expected to appear before Bray District Court this afternoon, Tuesday February 25 after 4pm."

The incident involved the man in a stand-off with gardaí, which was peacefully resolved shortly before 3pm following negotiations.

No injuries were reported two firearms were recovered and seized by gardaí.

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said: "Gardaí were requested to attend the scene of an incident in Delgany, Co Wicklow where a male had barricaded himself into a property following the attempted execution of a High Court order by a third-party."
