Woman in her 70s dies days after being hit by vehicle in car park

A woman in her 70s has died after being hit by a vehicle in south co Dublin.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses following the collision which happened at a car park on Castle Villas street in Dalkey last Sunday.

The woman, a pedestrian, was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

She was pronounced deceased on Thursday.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward.

A spokesperson said: “Anyone who was in the Castle Villas street area on Sunday July 13, 2025 between 4.15-4.45pm and who may have any information is asked to contact investigating gardai.

“Likewise, anyone who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) is asked to make that footage available.

“Gardai can be contacted at the Dun Laoghaire Garda Station 01 6665000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.”
