Man arrested as part of Ian Walsh murder investigation

A man has been arrested as part of an investigation into the death of a man who was found dead at a property in Co Tipperary earlier this month.

Gardai launched a murder investigation into the death of Ian Walsh, 49, who was discovered at his home in Carrick-on-Suir.

A man, aged in his late teens, was arrested as part of the investigation on Wednesday morning.

The young man is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda Station in the Clare-Tipperary Division.

Investigations are ongoing, gardai added.
