The Toons Bridge Dairy Ricotta & Buffalo Ricotta cheeses are being recalled due to the presence of Listeria monocytogenes
Consumers across the country are being advised that The Toons Bridge Diary has issued a recall on specific batches of their Ricotta and Buffalo Ricotta cheeses.
According to the public notice, issued by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland, the batches in question have been recalled due to the presence of Listeria monocytogenes.
The Food Safety says there currently is no evidence that the outbreak is linked to other recent Listeriosis outbreaks which saw read-to-eat meals and a number of spinach and mixed leaves products being recalled.

Consumers are being advised the recalled batches of The Toons Bridge Dairy Ricotta are their 200g and 1kg pack sizes with Use by dates of: 28/08/2025, 29/08/2025, 30/08/2025, 31/08/2025, 01/09/2025, 04/09/2025, 05/09/2025.
The recalled batches of The Toons Bridge Buffalo Ricotta are also the 200g and 1kg pack size with Use by dates of: 28/08/2025, 29/08/2025, 30/08/2025, 01/09/2025, 04/09/2025, 05/09/2025
Symptoms of Listeria monocytogenes infection can include mild flu-like symptoms, or gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. In rare cases, the infection can be more severe, causing serious complications.
Wholesalers/distributors are requested to contact their affected customers and recall the implicated batches and provide a point-of-sale recall notice to their retailer customers.
While Caterers are being advised that they should not use the implicated batches.
Consumers are being advised not to eat the specified batches, which are being recalled from by The Toons Bridge Dairy, effective immediately.
