In a statement on social media, a spokesperson for Peruke & Periwig confirmed the news and thanked customers for their support.
They said, "To our loyal customers, unfortunately, we had a break-in last night and a small fire started in our building.
The fire was contained to a storage area and thankfully, our bar and beautiful lounges were not damaged.
"Subject to full building checks, we hope to reopen later this evening. A huge thank you to An Garda Siochána and the Dublin Fire Brigade for their quick response, and to our neighbours and friends who have been in touch today. Your support is so appreciated. Keep an eye on our socials for further updates. We look forward to getting back to what we do best."
The road is currently open and investigations are ongoing.
