A video was shared to Facebook of Ireland players celebrating with fans in an Irish pub after securing the win against Hungary and getting through to the World Cup play-offs on Sunday last

'The place just went ballistic'- Irish fans 'still buzzing' from Ireland V Hungary game

Troy Parrott has stolen the hearts of the nation after scoring a hat-trick in the Ireland V Hungary game on Sunday last.

Parrott's last goal was scored in the last few seconds of the game causing an uproar from the crowds in the stadium and across Ireland.

Ireland has now secured a place in the World Cup play-offs.

Irish pubs were hopping after Ireland's win with screams, cheer and a night of fun in bars and pubs across the country.

Balls.ie shared two videos to their social media of Ireland fans celebrating the win and even shared a video of Ireland players themselves celebrating in Dublin as soon as they arrived back home from the game in Budapest.

The videos can be found below.

Dublin Airport made a special tribute to Troy Parrott by rebranding their name to 'Troy Parrott International Airport'.

Their post on X said, "fresh off the plane and still buzzing - we grabbed the first Ireland fans returning from the Hungary match to hear their instant reactions!".

The first young man said: "it was unbelievable....best thing I've been at in my entire life....".

Other people in the video clip said "it was a long time coming" and "it was one of those kind of magical days".

Balls.ie shared videos of the chaos and celebrations in Irish pubs and said: "The Ireland team were back on Irish late Sunday and a a few of the players found themselves in a Dublin pub singing with some fans".
