Search stood down for missing 45-year-old man as Gardaí issue update

The search for a missing 45-year-ol man who was reported missing on Monday has been stood down.

Rafal Walenczak was reported missing from his home in Monasterevin, county Kildare on Monday March 9, 2026.

Rafal was last seen in Monasterevin on Monday 9th March at 7am and was described as being 5 feet 8 inches in height, of strong build and is bald with blue eyes.

When last seen Rafal was wearing black jeans, a black hoodie and black runners. Gardaí and Rafal’s family were concerned for his well-being.

In an update on Wednesday morning, Gardaí have said Rafal has been found safe and well and have thanked the public for their assistance.
