We are finally in May - the Summer is here!

You probably have you Summer holidays booked, the flights, hotel and the spending money sorted - but what about your swimwear?

Although the dreaded packing may seem ages away, to set you on the right track you need to sort out the most important items of clothes - your swimwear.

Fashion Week Swim 2014 set the tone for this Summer’s trends and we have picked our top 5 styles to be on the look out for, so you can turn heads on that crowded beach!

The Plunge Swimsuit

This one piece is still quite popular on beaches worldwide and over the last few years we have seen it revamped with cut out effects and low backs

Recently the plunge neckline has taken over the red carpet and this look has transferred into the swimwear market. The plunge neck swimsuit is everywhere, even if only the brave take it on!

Highwaisted bikini

This retro 60s look has popped up on the runway for quite a few years now and it’s back with a bang again. The good news is you may already have the perfect bikini lying around from a previous summer holiday - and also you save money on the bikini wax!

You either love it or hate it. Fringing was huge on the swimwear catwalk for this Summer. Whether it was on bikinis, swimsuits or cover ups, designers couldn’t get enough of fringing and it has definitely made its way onto the high street and onto the beaches.

Frills and Ruffles

This Spring/Summer fashion has gone girly and swimwear is no exception. There were plenty of playful frills and ruffles on the swimwear catwalk and this is one way to catch the boys eyes! Feel girly and flirty and sun goddess with these - and they can be mixed and matched.

Colourful prints

It is Summer - don’t even think about wearing black. Ditch the winter colours and make it bright and beautiful. This Summer anything goes when it comes to print. We’ve seen everything from animal print to tribal and floral prints - and even fruit. Mix it up and have some fun!

Whatever trend you choose to model, make sure you wear suncream.
