Boil water notice lifted for Boley Hill, Manorhamilton

Following advice from the Health Service Executive, Irish Water wishes to notify all customers on the North Leitrim Regional Water Supply Scheme in Manorhamilton in the vicinity of Boley Hill that the boil water notice imposed on the supply on June 19, 2015, is now lifted with immediate effect.

The works which led to the lifting of the boil water notice included the laying of a new water main in Boley Hill. Following on from this a number of valves and hydrants were also fitted. Testing of the new main has taken place along with super chlorination and connections have been made to all existing customers.

Customers are advised that they can now resume normal use of the water supply for drinking, food preparation and brushing teeth.

The Irish Water Customer Contact Centre (1850 278 278) is available to answer customer queries in relation to this water notice. Further information is available on the Irish Water website

Irish Water and Leitrim County Council acknowledge the patience, cooperation and assistance of the general public during the period of the boil water notice and greatly regrets any inconvenience caused to householders, the farming and business community.
