Junction at SuperValu, Ballinamore from Googlemaps
Leitrim County Council said a visual assessment carried out at the SuperValu junction in Ballinamore has noted that visual sight lines may be impacted by illegal parking.
Sinn Féin Cllr Caroline Mulvey asked for a safety assessment at the crossroads at SuperValu, Ballinamore “due to a number of incidents occuring.”
The council said pending consultations with the business owners bollards can be erected along the front of the shop.
Regarding hazards created by speeding vehicles approaching from the Carrick Road, they said this is a matter for Gardai enforcement.
