‘Rothar’, a non-verbal show for children comes to Backstage Theatre Longford
Backstage Theatre Longford is set to receive two new shows this Autumn, bringing to the stage ‘The Ennio Morricone Experience’, a recital that highlights the Maestro’s great contribution to Italian and International music and film, and Rothar, a non-verbal production drama show for children.
‘The Ennio Morricone Experience’ brings the audience on a journey to celebrate the Maestro’s great contribution to music and cinema.
Along with his pieces from films like The Mission, Cinema Paradiso, The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, Once Upon a Time in the West and A Fistful of Dollars, the glittering ensemble of piano, string trio and singers (led by Annalisa Monticelli with soprano Katy Kelly) will perform compositions which inspired his genius, and selections by contemporaries like Rota (The Godfather) and Piovani (Life is Beautiful/La Vita è Bella).
