Conor McGregor will return to the Octagon to face American fighter Michael Chandler later this year, UFC president Dana White has confirmed.
McGregor, who hasn't fought professionally since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier in July 2021, will come up against Chandler in the season 31 finale of 'The Ultimate Fighter' - with the series starting this May.
The Irishman also took to Twitter to spread the word that he would sponsor the cost of Katie Taylor's homecoming fight in Croke Park after boxing promoter Eddie Hearn said it would not be possible to hold the highly anticipated event in Croker due to 'unbelievable' costs. Hearn replied to McGregor with the words "let’s talk".
