The 48th Kiltoghert Adult Christmas Party which was held in The Bush Hotel on Sunday, the 11th of January 2026 was deemed an outstanding success.

The Parish Clergy and the organising committee would like to thank most sincerely all responsible for making this eagerly looked forward event the success it was.
“A special word of thanks is due to the management and staff of The Bush Hotel for pulling out all the stops as usual and for the excellence of the 3-course sumptuous meal served up to an overflowing gathering of 160 parishioners,” a spokesperson said.
“ We are indebted to the Crossan School of Dancing - thanks Laura and Claire Crossan - also Caroline Conway's group, whose wide ranging array of gifted and delighted young dancers enthralled us with their spectacular routine and augurs well for the future of Irish dancing; to the Kilmore GAA Scór na n-Og Ballad Group,and finally to the Killina Céili Band for their major contribution to the party.

“Many thanks to the business community (local and national) and community organisations who were as generous as ever with their sponsorship; all who donated spot-prizes, gifts & confectionery; to the personnel who manned the door; to the numerous dedicated and voluntary helpers who worked so diligently to bring the party to fruition; to the "Leitrim Observer" for its generous publicity; also photographer Willie Donnellan; to Dolores in the Parish Office and the Kiltoghert Parish Newsletter; to all who helped in publishing the multi-coloured invitations and sponsorship circulars; also all who helped in writing and delivering the invitations - our parish remains hugely indebted to all,” the spokesperson added.
“Once again our Master of Ceremonies, Louise Murray did an excellent job in keeping proceedings running smoothly with a polished performance.
“We were delighted to welcome to the party staff and patients from Saint Patrick's Hospital and Loughtown House (Summerhill),” the spokesperson said.
They added that a full list of generous sponsors will be published in the ‘Leitrim Observer’ and the Kiltoghert Parish Newsletter in due course.
