A fair trade morning was organised in Esquires in Carrick on Shannon by Leitrim volunteer network to celebrate 'Fairbruary', an initiative to support Fairtrade throughout February.
Sr. Nora kicked off the event by welcoming the guests, including Leitrim County Council, Carrick Chamber of Commerce, COI representation, Traders, Tidy Towns volunteers, School representatives and friends and neighbours.
"We gather today in that spirit to highlight the plight of the struggling farmers in the Global South who in the face of climate change and big company competition, do need our help"
