Republic of Ireland attacker Evan Ferguson scored a brace as Brighton ended Grimsby’s fairy-tale FA Cup run at the quarter-final stage with a decisive 5-0 victory over League Two’s 15th-placed side to set up a last-four tie with Manchester United.

Deniz Undav scored inside six minutes and 18-year-old Ferguson had a standout afternoon, hitting two before Solly March nodded in the fourth and Kaoru Mitoma sealed the Mariners’ fate at the Amex Stadium.

Ferguson, who has been named in Stephen Kenny's squad for the Boys in Greens' upcoming internationals against Lativa (March 22) and France (March 27) at the Aviva Stadium, has scored seven goals for the Seagulls so far this season.
The talented striker is the top-scoring teenager for a Premier League club across all competitions in 2022-23.
