Deaths in Leitrim - December 11, 2016

The following deaths have occurred in the Leitrim area:

Bridie Reilly (née Kane) Boyle, Roscommon

Bridie Reilly nee Kane, 9th December 2016, peacefully, in the loving care of the staff of the Plunkett Home, Boyle, Co Roscommon, formerly Dooneen, Ballinameen, Boyle. Predeceased by her husband Michael.

Reposing at Higgins and Sons Funeral Home, Ballinameen, Boyle at 5.30pm Sunday 11th and arriving to St Attracta's Church, Ballinameen at 7.30pm, Funeral Mass Monday at 12 noon with burial afterwards to Caldra Cemetery. Michael (Mickey) O'Gara, Portahard, Frenchpark, Roscommon

December 8th, 2016 (Tragically) following an accident; Michael (Mickey). Pre-deceased by his nephew, John. Deeply mourned by his loving brothers Jimmy and John, sisters Celia and Kate, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral liturgy on Sunday afternoon at 2pm at St. Asicus Church, followed by interment in Kilnamanagh cemetery.

Kieran Byron, No. 2 Sugarloaf Manor, Belturbet, Cavan

Kieran Byron, 2 Sugarloaf Manor, Ernehill, Belturbet, Co. Cavan, 9th December 2016, peacefully at the Mater Hospital, Dublin. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving son Matthew, family, relatives and friends.

Removal on Sunday morning to arrive at the Church of Immaculate Conception, Belturbet for 10am Funeral Mass and immediately afterwards to Lakelands Crematorium. House private please.

John McNamee, Church St., Ballinamore, Leitrim / Ballyconnell, Cavan / Newport, Mayo

Formerly Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan and Drumreilly, Co. Leitrim. Recently pre-deceased by his wife Winnie (nee O'Hora). He will be sadly missed by his sons John & Noel, daughter-in-law Helen, grandchildren, sisters, brother, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at the Mortuary at St. Patrick's Hospital, Carrick-on-Shannon on Sunday next Dec 11th from 4pm until 6pm. Removal to St. Patrick's Church, Ballinamore arriving at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Monday morning at 10.00am followed by burial in Annagh Cemetery, Glenhest, Newport, Co. Mayo at 2.30pm approx.

Aubrey Young, Canons Hill, Killeshandra, Cavan / Carrigallen, Leitrim

Canons Hill, Killeshandra, Co. Cavan and formerly of Drumanure, Carrigallen, Co. Leitrim, Tuesday 6th December, (Peacefully) in the tender loving care of the staff at Southmead Hospital, Bristol in the loving care of his family. Aubrey will be very sadly missed by his parents Tom and Annie, brothers David, Peter and Philip, partner Sarah and her son Aaron, devoted father of Aaron and Aimee, extended family, relatives and his many, many friends.

Funeral Service in Killegar Parish Church on Sunday afternoon at 2pm followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard.

Due to one way traffic system in operation, a shuttle bus will run from Killegar Parish Church to the residence between 12 noon and 9pm on Saturday. House private at all other times please.

Donations in lieu of flowers, if so desired, to Killegar Parish Church Repair Fund and the Intensive Care Unit, Southmead Hospital, Bristol c/o Clive Magee Funeral Director, Ballyhugh, Ballyconnell or any family member.

Seán Hanly, Lisroyan, Strokestown, Roscommon (formerly Bridgecartron, Ballyfarnon)

Son of the late Mark and Bridget Hanly. Peacefully in the tender care of the staff of Roscommon Hospital Hospice and surrounded by his devoted family.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Áine, sons Mark, Seán and Donal, daughters Assumpta, Áine and Bróna, sons-in-law Marco and Declan, daughters-in-law, Lorraine, Paula and Laura, his seventeen grandchildren and Geraldine, sisters Nancy, Mary and Pauline, extended family friends and neighbours, Mass of Christian Burial on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. Interment afterwards in Kilronan Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to Roscommon Hospital Hospice.
